Lower Dolpo Trekking is a picturesque adventure trekking in Nepal. It lies in the remote part of western Nepal, beyond the Dhaulagiri Mountain. Trekking in lower Dolpo region is also defined as an adventurous journey into the isolated part where innocent people and untouched culture are prevailing. It is an ideal trip for the trekkers who want to make a trip in off-the-beaten trail.

This trekking route was opened in 1990 for the westerners to discover the hidden valleys and enjoy the isolated Himalayan journey. This trip is also known as Phoksundo Lake trekking, but still it crosses various challenging cross as Numa La Pass (5190m) and Baga La Pass (5070m). The trek goes through the picturesque forests of oak and rhododendron in the Phoksundo National Park. The pristine Phoksundo Lake with the blue water resembles the land as untouched and undisturbed. The Tibetan Buddhists inhabitants are found around the lower Dolpo trekking route. The trail is enchanting with the Yak caravans which have been depicted in a Hollywood movie as well.

Day 01 :Arrival in Kathmandu.

Day 02 :Tour of Kathmandu Valley and Pre-trip Preparation.

Day 03 :Flight from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj.

Day 04 :Flight from Nepalgunj to Jhupal (2400m), trek to Dunai (2150m).

Day 05 :Dunai to Tarakot (2543m).

Day 06 :Tarakot to Laini (3160m).

Day 07 :Laini to Nawarpani (3545m).

Day 08 :Nawarpani to Dho Tarap (4090m).

Day 09 :Acclimatization at Dho Tarap.

Day 10 :Dho Tarap to Numa La Base Camp (4440m).

Day 11 :Cross Numa La Pass (5190m) and trek to Pelung Tang (4465m).

Day 12 :Cross Baga La Pass (5070m) and trek to Dajok Tang (4080m).

Day 13 :Dajok Tang to Ringmo (3600m).

Day 14 :Rest day at Ringmo and hike around Phoksundo Lake.

Day 15 :Ringmo to Shyanta (2520m).

Day 16 :Shyanta to Jhupal.

Day 17 :Flight from Jhupal to Nepalgunj to Kathmandu.

Day 18 :Departure.
