Langtang Valley is located towards the north of Kathmandu, near the south of the Tibetan perimeter. It is surrounded by high mountains in the north and by the snow covered small Peaks to the south. The Tibetan influenced ethnic Tamang groups inhabit this wonderful valley, regarded as the most beautiful valley in the world according to the British mountaineer Bill Tilman. It is both astounding the natural panoramas and the ethnic cultural affluence.
Langtang National Park is the main trekking trail in the Langtang Valley Trekking. The Trekking starts from Syabru Bensi and ascends towards the Lama Hotel and Langtang village. It is located just below the Langtang Glacier, so it is also known as the valley of the Glacier. It is populated by the Tamang people and their settlement itself is wonderful. The cultural custom, religious practice and rustic lifestyle all are worth to see and explore. The trekking reaches up to the Kyanjin Gompa (3870m), which is artistic and wonderful. The climate situation in this place is diverse and around the winter time, the snowfall is higher and the whole area becomes white. During the exploration day, you can hike to the Langsisha Kharka and view the mountain views as Langtang Lirung, Sishapangma, Langtang Glacier and other snow covered peaks.
It is a wonderful foothill journey through the homeland of the Red Panda and Snow Leopard. It is full of steep ascending and descending along with the lush landscape and diverse forests like seasonal flowers and rhododendrons.
