The third highest mountain of the world- Mt. Kanchenjunga (8586m) is the worlds third highest mountain and is located in the northeastern part of Nepal, bordering to India. Trekking to the Kanchenjunga base camp is an adventure act, crossing the snowy trail and high passes as the Mirgin La (4550m) and Sele la (4500m). The trekking route lies in the Kanchenjunga National Park, one of the wonderful parks in Nepal.
Kanchenjunga Circuit Trek begins from Biratnagar after a panoramic flight from Kathmandu. The trek goes along the Tamur River and nearby stream known as Ghunsa Khola. Some of the spectacular villages on the trekking route include Mitlung, Amjilosa and Ghunsa. The views of Jannu peak, Kanchenjunga and the surrounding Himalayas stunningly entice you to spend the memorable days in the high mountain side. Kanchenjunga has got five summits, which is considered the queen of the mountains. The hanging glaciers and cliff trails make the trekking really challenging. Beside the mountain views, the huge ranges of flora and fauna have increased the significance of the trip. The National park is a home of Snow leopard and other alpine animals. Descending the trek, you continually arrive at Bhadrapur and fly back to Kathmandu.
