Overview

The Dhaulagiri Trek is a challenging trip to the west of Annapurna region. It is not less than a peak climbing which crosses various isolated valleys and snowy Himalayan passes. The trek begins from Beni and follows the Myagdi Khola and continues to the Dhaulagiri base camp. The French Col should be crossed to enter the isolated valleys. The trek is a camping trip with all the required things carried by the team themselves.

Following the glacial route, you need to use the climbing equipments as ice axe, ropes and crampons. It is strongly recommended for the trekkers who love the adventurous journey and also the trekkers who have sufficient previous trekking experiences. It is a classical trek that looks like mountaineering. Chhonbardan Glacier Camp, Dhaulagiri base camp and Shipton La Pass are the most technical section of the entire trip. In the concluding section of the Dhaulagiri circuit trek, the trail joins the Annapurna circuit route in Yak Kharka, then to the Jomsom valley and flies back to Pokhara. The Himalayan wonders of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and the vicinity are stunning. The Exciting Nepal Treks and Expedition pays special attention to arrange the trek with sufficient time for acclimatization and a perfect arrangement of the camping equipments.
