Bhairav Kunda Trek begins from Jalbire after a scenic drive from Kathmandu. Then it goes through the forests and meadow region. It is a real form of excitement. Crossing Chanaute, Khani Gaon, forest camp and Pati, you reach your final destination, the Bhairav Kunda. On the way, there are various settlements of traditional Newar, Gurung, Sherpa and other ethnic and indigenous groups. Rhododendron and oak forest dominates the trail where the forest is a shelter of red panda, snow leopard, Himalayan black bear and other rare found fauna. The astounding views of Dorje Lakpa, Jugal Himal range, Phurbi Ghhyachu and the surrounding peaks are breathtaking. The temple near the Lake (Kunda) is dedicated to Lord Shiva.
